We have made it to the middle of the week! The students are enjoying Catholic Schools Week so far! The highlight of the week, will come this afternoon, when we celebrate the Eucharist as a school family! As Mr. Veit said so well this morning during our morning announcements, "Being able to celebrate Mass as a school family, is what sets us apart from other schools"!
3R selected some awesome books and enjoyed their game day. We had to switch their library period to an earlier one, due to the Helias Band performance, scheduled at their normal library time.
1F moved their library time back one hour, also due to the Helias Band performance. After some lively music and fun, they did not want it to end, so they too enjoyed a game day! Some of the first graders are confident enough to move from leveled readers, to some more challenging chapter books. It is a wonderful sight to behold, when their faces light up at the prospect of reading a good chapter book! It is so rewarding to see their love of books and confidence in their reading expand from week to week!
I hope everyone continues to enjoy their celebration of Catholic Schools Week. We truly are blessed to be able to freely and openly celebrate together, as a school family, our shared faith in God.
